Tree Inventory

Tree Inventory Hero Image

Trees improve communities across the City of Los Angeles and beyond. They provide shade, beautify our streets, capture and clean stormwater runoff, remove pollution from the air, store carbon, and produce oxygen. StreetsLA crews are the proud stewards of the City’s incredible urban tree canopy of over 660,000 street trees – one of the largest and most diverse of any city in the world.

Recently, StreetsLA contracted Davey Resource Group to conduct the first inventory of our tree canopy in decades. Davey’s licensed arborists visited and assessed each street tree, stump and vacant planting location – a robust assessment that will help us to strategically manage our urban forest, identify planting opportunities, and calculate tree-related benefits.

Check out our inventory of trees on streets, managed by StreetsLA, and in parks, managed by the Department of Recreation and Parks.
