Sustainability
Through our landmark 5-year Strategic Plan, StreetsLA is committed to sustainability and has five areas of focus for our initiatives:
1. Path to Zero Emissions,
which centers on upgrading our vehicle fleet
2. Circular Economy,
which seeks to use recycled materials and promote recycling
3. Greening Our Yards,
which will upgrade our yards to support sustainability efforts
4. Digital Everywhere,
which involves upgrading protocols and processes to become more efficient
5. Sustainable Streetscapes,
focused on creating street designs that support biodiversity, as well as pedestrian and bicycle accessibility
As StreetsLA puts more of an emphasis on sustainability in all of our work, it’s possible you may have already seen some of our strategies in action, through programs like Cool Neighborhoods, ONE Infrastructure, and our many projects across the City.
