Street Sweeping
Street sweeping is one of StreetsLA’s most important functions. There are more than 4,700 curb miles in the City of Los Angeles that are posted for regular street sweeping operations, allowing our sweepers to clean the streets, keep trash out of our rivers and ocean, and prevent local flooding due to blocked storm drains.
Posted routes are swept on a biweekly basis, meaning on either the first and third weeks of the month or the second and fourth weeks of the month.
Please be mindful of street signage to avoid being ticketed, as vehicles will be cited if they are parked in restricted areas on days when street cleaning is scheduled. Not sure when your street is swept? Sign up for notifications, which are sent 24 and 48 hours before we sweep the location for which you registered. Simply fill out the form on this page, or use our map to explore other streets where you commonly park and to register for multiple locations.
